Waking Up...

Good morning world
I want to lie here and enjoy
the delicious feeling of warmth
The sight of the room lit up with the sun

My T.V. set to the news, brings me a story
The tale of a woman and dog rescued from drowning
People rescued the scared, biting dog, at risk to themselves
I'm sure that she is grateful

It is sad that she is homeless
Not that her best friend is a dog
Will those people walk away from the pair
Wondering what it is like to be homeless?

pretty sure that they are out in California or someplace where they have those concrete conduits. They were walking and slipped, is what I got from the story. I thought of those in the Ukraine too, and myself, here at home, not worried that I may be killed while at breakfast or bombed in the middle of the night. But mostly, I thought about the people that rescued that dog, even though it was scared and biting. Imagine; two polar opposite things happening. One, here at home where people care enough about a homeless person and their dog, to risk drowning and dog bites, and another place in the world, where someone is evil enough to bomb a church where innocent children are sheltering, and people in a bread line trying to get something to eat are shot. A country where people are shot for being the wrong color by cowards and one in which brave people are protecting their country and loved ones against one of the [supposedly] best armies in the world with Molotov cocktails and outdated weapons. On one hand, you might think that there is hope for the world, and the other, that there isn't hope for it. If there are aliens visiting us, there is no wonder that they haven't made direct contact with us; I don't think that any being, seeing the extremes we are capable of would want anything to do with us! ~ Geez.

if they don't walk away from the pair, they might send her to a shelter. but I'm pretty sure that they will separate the two. they will probable send the dog to a animal shelter. I hope it is a no-kill shelter. I support no-kill shelters both locally and through the american humane society. actually I hope the let the two stay together.

any mention of them sending them to a shelter, and I think that if they had tried to separate them, she would have refused.
But I did wonder if anyone had tried to help them with someplace to stay. Maybe try to get them a place where they wouldn't be separated. She was crying as she thanked the people that rescued the dog. I would like to believe that that some effort was made. ~ Geez.

before lovedly, that I always read you. Sometimes, I just am not up to commenting or critiquing or I miss someone, thinking that I'll go back to them afterwards and can't quite make it. I'm sorry if you feel slighted. P.S. I wasn't born yet, but I have studied the results of those bombs and wish that they had never been invented, let alone dropped on innocent people. I have seen pictures of the shadows on walls, the footprints in the sand and the horror of radiation burns and sickness visited on people who were just pawns in the game of war. Hopefully, we will never see anything like that again, ever! ~ Geez.

Iove thy simplicity

Yes it seems there is little news that is good in the past few years. I hope the woman and dog have a dry place to go to

I hope so too. We may not be able to save everyone or help all, but we should do what we can. I'm sure that anyone in their place would want at least a little help. "Do unto others, as you would have them do unto you." That doesn't mean that we should just refrain from hurting each other, but we should do for others as we would have them do for us. Thanks for the read and comment . ~ Geez.
