Time After Time

(for S. James)
eyes the color of wood smoke
laughing softly
chasing the icy fingers
of the dead of winter
from out my heart
while your warm even breath
sends silky shivers along my skin...
I sigh with the realization
that our years together
have been an odyssey spent in
the living knowledge
of each others inner beings
and I would stop time
in it's journey...
to preserve this one moment
through an eternity of night!

This is beautifully said, capturing the intimacy of a relationship over many years of knowing another, a soul mate. I love this eloquent poem. Well versed.

The power of our language can and will change the world.
Successively until our languages become one!

thank you for seeing my poem for what it is; a gift to my husband, whom I love right down to his toes, lol! he even reads my poetry and sometimes makes suggestions. his favorite poems of mine are by my alter ego, eddy styx. he loves both sides both sides of the coin!
