You might want to consider how lions mate, I've been lucky enough to see it on some trips to Africa.
Once they fall in love, they copulate every 40 minutes, an act which takes about a minute and is quite passionate. You can set your clock to it. Every 40 minutes for 2 days!
At the end the male will often have to defend himself against other suitors who have been watching, getting horny, and wanting the female for himself. All the other animals around are also watching (giraffes, zebras wildebeest etc). The lover is at a disadvantage, being quite worn out from his 48 hour Viagra trip, and they often win but sometimes the fight is deadly. It's tough to be a lion, During the process, she does the hunting and cooking, as usual.
So I would reconsider "Every 2 minutes" to "every half hour...."
