Rollercoaster Ride...

This year's been a rollercoaster ride
traumatic scenes and all
Bad news around every corner hides
I wait for good news to call

It's been too long, since we have heard
glad tiding's voice of cheer
None but the croak of the raven bird
has come upon our ear

With skipping hearts that simply race
when touched with worsening news
We must try to keep the pace
fighting back with happy views

Down and down, we all scream
Frightened? Of course we are
But we must have faith in the dream
Ride in the very first car!

Every coaster has its' ups and downs
loop-de-loops and hills
Now from the top, come happy sounds
we're about to get some thrills

After all, how much worse can it be?
We've dropped to the bottom stair
I'm guessing that we will see
Look out! Bad news, beware

it has been a very hard year, and I fear it will only get worse. then there is always the Ukraine to ponder. I for one, would desperately welcome some good news. I admire these lines most:

Down and down, we all scream
Frightened? Of course we are
But we must have faith in the dream
Ride in the very first car!
