A Road Of Broken Dreams

When the clouds
Block out the sun
And your heart is
Another’s red carpet

Look into your soul
And find that smile
That makes Satan
Regret meeting you

Yea’ life will throw you
To the wolves
That is when you
Look into your heart
And find the courage
Of lions

When those around you
Trample your dreams
Don’t you shed a tear

For perfection
Is a road of many
Broken dreams
There is always that one
That leaves
Your name on
Doubting tongues

When the climb
Seems impossible
Let the power of Faith
Take you wherever you desire

Don’t give up on dreams
Cause they guide you
In a world full of broken
Promises

with excellent advice

one small thing -
'Don’t give up on dreams
Cause they guide you'
- 'cause' is the wrong word i think - it needs to be
because or 'cause (with the apostrophe to denote the missing letters)

i really love the second stanza
love judy

'Each for the joy of the working, and each, in his separate star,
shall draw the Thing as he sees It, for the God of Things as They are.'
(Rudyard Kipling)

Judy, for the advice

Boulevard of broken dreams... Nice and upbeat, is that despite the troubles or because you've overcome them?
Cheers
