PLEA TO SUN RISE

when shall you return and
enlighten my hope of perception?
let your rays mass around me and
shade me for your reflection will rouse
my ambition to continue moving forward.

Spare your wings of hope and
let me resonate with you.
darkness barricades the high way!
let your light of goodness find me.
when the light is astounding
hope means something to some one.

my time is fleeting,
my anticipation is to fly higher
like a flying eagle with keen vision.

but for now,
I'm like a weeping bird,
full of heavy weight,
hard to flap my wings
creating lift for further soaring
is quite gruelling.
for tranquility of silence
hanging around me.

I enjoyed reading your poem Cosmos. This poem is a universal plea for inspiration. I see myself in my room, early in the morning chanting the lines and getting the motivation to step out for the day.

In the midst of hopelessness, faith abounds to gift one hope.

Hoping I interpreted this better.

Well done.

in this line: let me resonate. (let me resonate with you) might make it feel smoother. I like your title, it reflects what the poem is about. it flows well. the pacing is good. I like the theme, and beginning and ending are good. a nice thought for the day.

I liked these lines:

my time is fleeting,
my anticipation is to fly higher
like a flying eagle with keen vision.

@ Ifeanyichukwu! Thanks so much for time spent and a nice comment.

Yes, you got the clue!

BUT,
It is possible to interpret a poem in many different ways. No one interpretation is more correct than any other. No one can point to a famous poem and say this is what means, in its entirety, and if anybody disagrees then they are just wrong.
