Orion

I rise early to darkness
Autumn winds carry leaves
To their eternal resting places
My cares are likewise swept away
Chasing leaf litter, coaxed into flight
An ancient archer’s angular stance
Patiently waiting with bow drawn
Bearing witness to the ages
Takes notice of my awakening

I always feel energized and safe when Orion is brightly in the sky...my favorite constellation (and father) I really love this poem and the wisdom of Orion,

My favorite constellation and the first one I became aware of as a child. It sparked a life long interest/relationship with the stars. Good job.
