Men are not poor
they're very intelligent
as in silence well bow
get for whatever little
they endow

ladies also know
the best way to maintain
love solace harmony
let him say

'I am the man
of the house
I have a clear cut
submission
my darlingest one
they all accept this admission’

Ooooo Ah,
I'm the
real man
of my house

I undoubtedly
enjoy her permission
to spell out

sprawl like a lion
be broad like a horse
of course

she lets me say so
wow
smiles behind my back

we all know
married aren’t you
fifty 55 years

Methinks I understand your poem - and I'm grinning. The sage and wisdom of couples, especially after 55 years (Are you speaking of yourself? Congratulations!) seems to be that the wife LETS the husband think he's the man of the house - as she smiles behind his back.
