Life's lessons

It behooves me how you carry your head on such a high horse.
So high that the air doesn't flow and the wind does not bend.
It's one thing to feel that you behold such greatness
But when you put me beneath your feet that is where I hold the problem.

No, no not for you to solve, but for me to evolve to figure out the complication of how I got into your weaved web!!
That was spun when your mother sang you the nursery rhyme of our time together.
Knowing a little bit at a time I fed u my rhyme of a Dumpty Humpty that died

And so as he, we too ended
Because of a tiny tale that was told,
Holding in the truth of your infidelity of old.
You told my story,
Giving yourself the glory,

Knowing that what you did, was not hid from me but from those you wanted to see you as a king.
I knew your flaws and all the troubles you bring!
Ohh this thing called life that causes us strife, I love it!!

The lessons wrapped in time with a bow
That surprises us so we can grow.
Taught me as the stars on a flag to be free.
Freedom to navigate through your truthful lies that hurt me.

Truth be told I helped u onto a horse
A horse you never even knew existed
Yet you galloped off to spread the news of how you had victory!
Slaying everything good along your path and watering all that was evil.

Dismounting your horse returning to me, to teach you more on how to keep your head high
Not knowing the horse you rode was mine desiring to be home as we walked away!!

are an internal dialogue with explosive content. We poets all have them, I think. Yours here is a genuine inquiry into the circumstances that you find yourself in.

A lovely piece, tender and yet turbulent.
