Life's a Game

In a game of Monopoly, one tries to get property
If played properly, then wealth is acquired
All is required, is patience, and luck.
So, hope for the best, and do not rush.
To win in this life – a game...
You must have an ace up you sleeve
You can call me a cheat, but I’ll always repeat:
That to succeed, you must have to beat
All of the others - those in the game
Cos humans are wild and need to be tamed.
These games are man-made, and many I’ve played.
On a board of chess, there are kings and pawns
The pawns are the fodder, so the king then thrives.
The bishops, they move, and are cunning, which proves
That like life, it’s a game of survival.
This is life, and that’s why I will
Never abide by the rules
Cos there are ones who make them
And those who break them
We’re all using our minds as a tool.
You see, we’re one of the same
On this planet that’s blue
It’s a game of bluff - decide what’s true.
Throw the rest in the bin
Then in this game we call life,
Before you die, you will win.
