Joys Of Living Daily

Should I Foolishly believe
I alone have been chosen
by powers unknown
to live on
till infinity meets eternity

when at that edge of time
my true life becomes sublime
then and then only
shall the
Bells
toll for me

all will know
none will ask

For whom
The bell tolls
lovedly!

Loved! I adore this poem, it's simply one of your best, I actually have nothing to offer only praise and applause. You've grown so much as a poet my friend. Big WOW!!

Jess would be very proud of you

Jess knew you had it in you though I think sometimes you loved playing with him and sending him mental, had me pulling my hair out a time or two I have to say but, once I twigged the jig as they say was up lol

Haha hugs my friend.

“The world is full of magic things, patiently waiting for our senses to grow sharper.” — W.B. Yeats

first for a long time
he kicked me like a horse
then towards the end
he once said
I think I'm beginning to like you

Since he has gone
into the ocean
tears drop ..wet my eyes

he was a guy
who told no lie
he wanted to induce poetry
in donkeys like me

not knowing
I was much elderly
and BORN as a muddy poet
to be churned into a flower pot
of that he never thought

sad the umbrella over me has gone
to join immortality
in Neos poets stream

All must know it
as so many
now read me
what ...was this guy
a poet they ask

Thanks Seren
now I must wipe my tears
you are also needing to
I know it sis

Many years ago, Jess sent me a Kookaburra as they used to sit outside my window and sing to me every morning that Kookaburra is here on my desk, yes now I go to wipe my eye as I glance up to the sky. :'(

He was a rapscallion, rascal, genius, kind, cranky, and a thousand other things I would be here all morning, he was also my sparing partner and I do miss it so now Hes gone who will poke me and make me better poetess?

love and biggest hugs J x

I always like any feedback good or bad, I have had some pretty heavy-duty crits over the years, I learned not to take it to heart, Jess is probably up there thinking you pair of sillies look at me now, he'd be sitting up there with that grin on his face or probably taking apart some of the great's poems giving them grey hair or a hard time LOL

God bless his cheeky heart.

Love J x

I agree with Seren in her precious comments. A very appealing poem. In fact, this is one of your best of the best. I wouldn't change anything. Excellently penned!

Hello, Lovedly,
Your poem has captured the question we all ask ourselves, and your title gives the best answer. Live each day joyfully.
