The Heart is True

Hope is magnificent
Hope is magnanimous
Hope is the motivator
of impossible dreams

Dreams are touchstones
Dreams are troublesome
Dreams are the vessel
in which we pour faith

Faith is a gift
Faith is belief in yourself
Faith is the blanket
shielding your heart

The heart is the truth
The home of the soul
The holder of hope
The keeper of dreams
The producer of faith

Hope, dreams, faith and heart:
Without hope, there's nothing to have faith for. Most hope lives in the mind. But hope gives you the agility to expect.
Without dreams, we remain as we are. but dreams gives you a pace for life.
Faith is not God will do it but you, believing that you shall truly become what you think about.
In general, the heart delivers hope, dreams and faith.

Very motivational! Nicely written!

I like your title. and admire the way in which you made the sections cascade down like a teared (sp) water fountain. I agree with Onyinechi's assessment of your poem. great job! I like the way you think!

It is a good poem but I cannot help but think of that line in "The Shawshank Redemption", "Hope is a dangerous thing. Hope can drive a man insane."

Magnanimous. As in when Red (Morgan Freeman) as narrator talks about Hadley drinking the beers on the roof job “…the colossal prick even managed to sound magnanimous.” It’s a favorite line of mine and it’s likely where I learned the word.

Nobody knows but I have a tunnel out of my despair with my writing and music projects. So I’m more like Andy’s letter to Red at the end of the film. “Hope is a good thing, maybe the best of things…”
