Half Past Midnight

It is half past midnight, and it is raining

Blood is flowing somewhere; it is staining

Beneath her feet, the red is steadily flowing

There is no sign of it ever slowing

It is leaving a stain that will never go away

It will still remain even after the break of day

At half past midnight, no one is around

No one to hear his awful death sound

She left him lying dying on the floor behind

She closed the door with no regret in her mind

He soon realized what she had done

She had ended their love with a gun

It is way half past midnight the Sun is rising

What she had done, she is slowly realizing

She is not sad that her love is now gone

He should have never done her so wrong

As he lay dying, bleeding out on the floor

Shot between the eyes with a forty-four

He knew that he would never be mourned

He learned Hell hath no fury like a woman scorned
