Guilty Pleasure [Random Challenge]
camping semi illegally
off the beaten path
in some national forest
my worries dispersed
my routine' rehearsed
I didnt know what to say to the ranger
dispersed camping is legal in the national forest
driving on unmarked roads, is not
maybe it was worth it
to drink a Four Loko
and watch an Adam Sandler movie in my tent
like I always do
cheap pleasures. unrefined, yet never dull
experiencing many kinds of camp at once

she also says
"All Camp objects, and persons, contain an element of artifice"
I tell the ranger that the marked campsite was full
and it made more sense to park out in the middle of what, in the light of day,
appears to be an ATV trail
cheap pleasures, apparently cost about a hundred dollars
or more if your license is expired

Sounds like...
one hell of a weekend! While it is nice to get out and away from the hustle and bustle of the urban madness, it pays to pay attention to the rules of the park, otherwise, you pay! I like the kind of thoughts that are all part of the day, showing the unreasonable way you were treated by the fates. Interesting mode of telling the tale, just like I assume you would be if we met. ~ Geezer.

it was a hell of a weekend
It was a fun time anyway, and I was outside of a town a few hours from home to see some friends, so there was plenty to balance it out, plus the beauty of nature too. I definitely felt a little let down by the fates though, like "what the heck is a travel rule". But like you said, you gotta know the rules before you go. And thank you! you seem interesting as well
