A fresh start: the cyclone

I reached out to Hades, cos my friends, they have gone
And it’s better to fester in hell with someone
Than to be so alone, and to be so prone
To life’s problems, they come and then go like a cyclone

After having reached out, Hades declined
He said the cyclones aren’t bad, they are natures signs
They point to a future, they are clearing the way
So, accept the destruction, and live for the day

So, I waited on a hilltop, looking down at where I’m from
It was struck by natures, twisting cleaner, and then it had quickly gone
I made my way, back down the hill, to redeem what’s left of life
Amongst the Debris, of every tree, but still couldn’t find a wife

A photograph, in a shattered frame, was just about in reach
It depicted, wasted plastic, on a local beach
The plastic that the cyclone carried, once belonged to me
Empty bottles mainly, had been swept, and carried to the sea

This is all about making a fresh start. Out of bad luck / events, can be born good things. Optimism and making the best of a bad situation. Even when you find it hard to be optimistic, and things seem like they can never get better, at least they can't get worse!
