from famine to flood

astonished veins
are bursting
with poems
among the debris
I find a notebook,
sitting on the edge

midnight sparked a flame
and ate through the page,
my first word
was confused and excited
burning to a nova

images of purple dawns
bright green moons
pink trees and yellow blooms.
flood my memory,
these are the shining eyes
of a night walker

reflected in the window
of your black soul.
a skein of feeling
pimples my skin

a crevice
of undiscovered lines
thought dead,
have life and breadth
and now triumphant

I have found my face
by tasting
the cracked salt of tears.
I was 'all but',
I am again.

Review Request (Intensity):
I want the raw truth, feel free to knock me on my back
Last few words:
This is really rough I have played with it some but its far from finished, I have had on and off again blocks with my writing, for a while I pushed when all I needed to do was wait patiently, its exciting and exhilarating to be coming back into form this poem was a whim but I like it I think it shows a little potential

I think this piece is fine "as is" but if you feel it needs further work, well, hey, you're the author! I especially admire the tone of the poem and the way it conveys its essence to the reader! Very nice!

I am very happy you liked this one, I am not finished with it yet its not quite there, I have had some suggestions messaged to me so I plan to go through them and see if I can implement them into the poem

so nice to see you and I really appreciate your feedback

love to you both JC xxx
