EXPERIMENT'S END
We tried a new experiment
five trillion dollars in the past
by putting radicals in charge
giving them their chance at last
The amateur in the white house
who's never even held a job
but can give a pretty speech
about the rich he yearns to rob
has no grasp on reality
he's just a governmental leach
Then Harry,Harry quite contrary ................ * Senate majority leader Harry Reid
who hasn't got a clue
advanced way past his ability
has not one idea what to do
Experimental politics
is what has brought us here
where failure's praised, success condemned
and felons have no need to fear
Emperor Obama makes decrees
Senate shirks it's basic job.................. *Constitution requires the senate approve a budget each year
as truth becomes replaced by lies
and theives remain still free to rob
We must now be expedient
and end this failed experiment

but a lot of countries, including Australia, have got great health and education without going bankrupt.
Jeez, I reckon you Americans just don't believe that tax dollars boost the economy. Du'uh, they do, create jobs and social benefits.
Everyone except Australians are insane, and we know it because we are mad-as-a-cut-snake-ratbaggers!

I myself think some type national health care is needed. Just not this type which was forced through without even being read by those who voted for it. It should have been done gradually in parts so as to not put such an immediate shock on an economy which was/is in need of attention. Tax money Can boost the economy if put into the hands of consumers. But most of the stimulus was put in the hands of banks (who caused the problem and now almost refuse to lend to small business) and government employees who produce little but red tape.Oh, well. Reckon we'll see come November..............stan

How many members of Congress or Senate
read the "Patriot Act" before voting for it?
I guess your situation really sucks, I don't envy the choices any of your politicians would have to make.
It sounds smug, it is, I'm fucking glad I don't live there, especially with all the guns.

I'm not sure if all read the patriot act before voting on it, but at least those who introduced it gave enough time To read it and never had the audacity to tell congress they should pass it now and read it later. I fear this election is going to be a turning point here. Do we go the way of the Socialist European model or do we remain what those who authored the constitution envisioned? Guess we'll know in November.
As to guns, everybody hears about those who go on shooting rampages but few hear about the people who save themselves from violent crimes by having access to weapons. In the past 3 years just in the upstate of South Carolina, there have been at least 2 home invasions thwarted by the homeowner's use of firearms. And the homeowners also made sure that at least 4 career criminals would not be repeat offenders again. But it's not as much a wild west thing here as media makes it seem.................stan

I agree with Jess
I am glad that I don't live there (USA That is)
I have been to quite a few countries on my travels.
Even to the Poor shops in Brisbane Australia.
I have seen Women being beaten in Africa and children starve.
I have seen the wars in Africa and lost many friends there.
Why Oh why cant we stop ass holing around and sort out all these problems.
It makes me cry when I see Hollywood a few people that can act, footballers and politicians cheating not only on their families but their Nations.
Let us try and balance the books where we don't (as we also do) have homeless people then the sick that are left out, while some Bastards can wine and dine out just to say thank you for the one of many that give their lives that the riches table is never empty.
As my wife says she is glad as I am that we are the age we are as we will not see all the suffering that is to come purely because of greed.
Billionaires from Russia how does that ever equate with their old communist regime, while in their own country there are people starving to death. Just glance at China the same regime is rife.
Then see how many homeless you have in your own country...
Enough it is too painful to talk of, have a lovely day whichever your level of life is, and know that in a Spiritual way we are then only equal, with a like Spirit.

It was only during the current administration that the sight of people at intersections begging for help became common in my area. And it came as a result of excesses allowed by administrations dating back to Nixon, both Dems and Repubs. Then came Obama and his henchmen Reid and Pelosi who promised hope and delivered an unending series of bad decisions. The middle of an economic meltdown is not the time to ram healthcare reform through. That could wait a bit while concentrating on economy. The best way to deliver affordable health care is by assurunf a supply of good jobs. And although I'm not big fan Of Reagan, at least he realized that the answer to a slow economy was Not to Increase gov't, but to at the minimum freeze its growth. After all, all government jobs and programs have to be paid for by Somebody.................stan
