Desolation in the face of wealth

Pity the pope
in his pointy pontification.....

The Catholic Church hoarders
of antiquity treasures lay not
yours on fallow fields.
Let not the sperm fly in your face,
with the faces of the unwanted like
the castaways of the filthy rich:

'Let them eat cake once they're born.
I wash my hands .'

There is no birth control for deviant minds if sex
is disallowed personal gratification, if it doesn't create
slaves of worship for the empire.

Camels rarely go through St. Peter's square.

Yes. I broke the 24-hour rule with the first poem. And broke the one poem a day rule with this one.

I'm here to offer this and this only:

There are those of us who seek the truth, there are those of us who know the truth,
and there are those of us who lie about the truth (for personal benefit).

I'm not a great fan of the catholic church either.

This is superb poetry, meaning to gut, conscience and spirit.

I haven't commented on your work much lately, but who could ignore the intensity and meaning?

This requires multiples readings and says things you may not have realised yourself. You always claim to write as it comes, once a day, yet your success rate is suberb.

A new workshop on the most important element of poetry-
'Rhythm and Meter in Poetry'
https://www.neopoet.com/workshop/rhythm-and-meter-poetry

yes all the statue worship and that
Nice interesting stories
I met catholics outside the church
but they returned for Christmas Mass
and Easter and I the heathen went
with them to see inside these
grand monuments to a faith of
some kind

and I saw "Fathers" whom were not
too fatherly to innocents..they just
got sent to a new parish..the power
of the "Church" covered it all up

too much of that going on for me
to ever think of being involved with
those churchs again and I dont
need to go back in for a look at
the nice tableaus
Mary and Jesus are doing just
fine somewhere without some
artists impression of their tears
their sorrow or joys

and anyway Im a poet blasphemer
sidling with Satan with my Gin
and wanton ways for muses
beautiful and talented

A great poem
I also agree

Thank You
