Breath

You know,
that space
that holds us
together
so close
not even a word can enter edgewise,
the scent of us yodelling with the edelweiss and lama
that ascent that climbs into wetlands we have
all but forgotten
and
stretches into an eternity that must linger until....

you remember, just like this
and
don't you feel it too, my darling?

Now breathe.

you have somehow managed to drag out emotions buried deep in my chest by their toes wether they like it or not! great write!
always,
mag

Yep, wonderful... Is it rude to say this just brought sex to mind... in the most wonderful poetic way... or is it just my "dirty mind"? Sigh... I love how evocative your writing is, there's always something below the surface, & something else to wake me up... & usually something I feel is like a jewel from my own heart, a recognition or enlightenment of higher purpose, I want to stand & gaze it its possibilities for hours (so to speak) xx

My dear friend always told me "Water the seeds of joy first"

We now have a dingo dog that insists on always being in the middle with the final word.... her tongue in your mouth and dog breath

I am trying not to read that as a reference to me being Australian? Ouch! If you actually do have a dingo, they are extraordinary, I had a dingo x kelpie many years ago, the most intelligent & loyal dog I could ever imagine, so enjoy.

I must say, I am pleased to see you still here & look forward to reading your work Oraphani, you were among the many I dearly missed reading in my absence.

Cheers

ps give it a bit of charcoal to chew?

Steven, Dingos are native Australian dogs, google them, they have a bad reputation, much like bears in US, their habitat has been overun by holidaying humans & changed their natural habits.

(Are all poets animal lovers)

the style of dog is it??

my beloved animal is amazing
they love unconditionally unlike
humans that bear bitter hearts
and bite unprovoked

Did you know that dogs have
clean mouths??? humans
are filth traps
imagine that??
I dont
my dog told me so!!
and she loves me

Must go look up edelwisse

Thank You

Mags, Annie & Esker, thanks for reading and your glowing comments. (Anna blushes.)

I think if one doesn't love life, one could not love nature and poetry, music and one another.
