Bohemian

It is a simple morning
a far-off wind chime meditates as
a Kingfisher chuffs, untroubled
it dives along the lake surface

I have deeper thoughts
simplicity aside, I am complex
wondering how a bird, so flamboyant
honors a solitary life, a bohemian

I sit in my lone chair
as the bird circles above the water
the wedding of two shades
of iridescent blue, an awaiting bliss

soon the lake will freeze
the Kingfisher will take to flight
and I will spot the Mallards
huddled together beneath the

tall Eastern White Pine
my deep thoughts airborne in a
migration toward free-spirited wind chimes
pealing on the far side of the winter wind

theme here. I like the lines of: "my deep thoughts airborne
.in a migration toward
. free-spirited wind-chimes
. pealing on the far side
. the winter wind."
The theme of migration continued with the thoughts of oncoming winter. ~ Geez.

Writing purely for oneself, is the ultimate in defensive posture.

Thank you for reading. A Kingfisher spans the lake almost all the time now. The brilliant, dazzling bird will truly be missed when the lake becomes frozen. My thoughts will go with him. :)

This is a nice take of the birds migration.
I specifically liked the last few lines and thought they should be separated from the line before

soon the lake will freeze
the Kingfisher will take to flight
and I will spot the Mallards
huddled together beneath the
tall Eastern White Pine

my deep thoughts airborne in a
migration toward free-spirited wind chimes
pealing on the far side of the winter wind

Just my thought and the call is yours.
Thank you dear for sharing.

Thank you for reading and sharing your wise suggestion, which I will think over. I wanted the poem to appear symmetrical, but also to me, that Eastern White Pine seems much more regal and magnificent leading the stanza. I certainly appreciate your thoughts, but mostly I appreciate your time in reading and helping me with this.
