and love is the distance that passes through light

If I could
tie rocks to clouds
give the angel of death
her wings,
I would love you any way
I could;

I would open my heart and let
you barge in unannounced
let you lay the foundation
of our home;

I would read the inscription
on this wall
between living and dying
with the braille of fingertips,
and the sweetness of a tongue;

I would descend like a dark angel
and steal you away.
Make you holy as a mountain.
Make love to you as if there
were no defeat.

We would know one another in the
narrow passage of light
between life and death.
It would be our time of reckoning,
it would be the time of our glory.

We would have nothing else to say.

This is what poetry is about to me. The passion and energy running through this is like the electricity powering a roller coaster. Such passion, such momentum, such absolutely beautiful and noble expressions. This is what I aspire to in much of my poetry. I can't criticize a damn thing. Phenomenal poem, inspiring and memorable.

As to date my favorite I've seen on Neo.

Wow...

"What I want is to be what I was before the knife,
before the brooch pin, before the salve, fixed me in this parenthesis:
Horses fluent in the wind. A place, a time gone out of mind."

Ah, Ron.... Someone will always find something to criticize, however, I thank you. Now, where do you want me to send you my check?

I immediately ran out to buy some wings, damn I could have flown to your side, but all I could get was some old ford car wings, and I fear that they are too heavy, so I will admire your words from afar, Yours Ian.T

PS:- afar, is just off the M1 north of Leicester in the UK La La
