Anarchy

I do wonder about anarchy,
what it really means to society.
Is it truly chaos as many believe
or a chance to embrace relief?

Is it so bad to live without a government,
to be devoid of any tax payment,
to protect each other without coercion
from the law's judgement?

Do we really need a group of people
to take our hard earned money
for our way of life to excel
and we could coexist in harmony?

Do we need rulers to perceive
what is wrong or right for us
when we know joy and grief
and what is best for us?

I'm seeking for answers
but they proved to be elusive.
Are we destined in the future
to be so submissive?

I think the theory of anarchy might be good but the reality of everybody doing as they please would include those whose choices are harmful to others (rapists, child molesters, mass murderers). The U.S. constitution is the worst type gov't ever spelled out on paper.............except for all others lol. Keep asking the good questions.......stan

this poem came about because I'm pissed with the ruling party here. The monthly monetary aid for the needy seldom increase but government service tax on the things we buy always increase each year without fail. How can the monetary aid be enough? Then they have monthly income tax for the working people which they put into their central provident fund. In the past, you'll get all of the amount when you reached a certain age, now they change the rules, make it as a payout, controlling the people's money during their old age! Then there's the law which only allow taxi driver's passengers at certain areas in the city. A taxi driver was fined for picking up a passenger who is an old man, with a walking stick at the bus lane . Common sense will tell you it will be a great inconvenience for him to walk to the taxi stand which is further away but instead of showing compassion, the gov punished the driver for his understanding and kindness! That's why I'll never vote them but they are smart in playing with the people's fear that the opposition who are inexperienced in governing the country will only lead to chaos and the political games they play are dirty and unfair. Look, I'm torn apart. I liked the fact that we are a multiracial nation with a variety of cutures. The country is clean and safer even for the girls to walk outside at night. What I hate are stupid laws, the high cost of living and the dirty politics.

All the money I paid in over the last 49 years was used to pay for those receiving retirement payments at that time. My retirement payments will be funded by my children. Sound like a "pyramid" scheme? it Is but since the gov't is running it it's OK

I don't. A few hours after one of the idiots claimed our transportation is the best in the world, our Mrt system which is the fastest public transport, broke down. Our leader claimed that our people can afford their houses. Its a joke. The price is too high. I've heard their lies too many times until I'm fed up. Fyi, this is one of the most expensive city to live in.

Singapore economy is growing but there is a problem there it is not the manufacturing industry that is growing, it is the banking , insurance and internal building that is growing and this puts out a false figure for the average person who works each day.
This means that the average person sees less for the near same amount of money earned, the profits for this type of country just fills the pockets of those that have not those that need.
I don't know of a solution to this problem as it is world wide an international money shifting place at the expense of the worlds poor.
Here in the UK just try and buy a house at this moment, a few years ago houses were changing hands at a couple of thousand now its a couple of a hundred thousand, there the poor cannot buy, and later say in about three years the interest rates will go up to where those at the bottom of the earners will fall into poverty due to the fact that they wont be able to afford their houses.
It is an endless process here where the divide between the rich and poor is widening as in your country.
I wonder what the end product of this crazy spiral is going to be???

Alas, the blindness is not in the eyes
but lies in the soul and the fearful.
Will I drown in despair as time flies,
seeing the monarchy breeding fools
as the next generation shall inherit,
the burden that pricks my heart today
to satisfy another scumbag's greed,
legitimized by law to let them play?
Ah, dear heart, such a tragedy
that my descendants shall fall prey
to the charlatans around me
for the cowardice of men today
have sealed the fate of destiny..
