I reckon ya'll are not aware of the reason contests deadlines are always a few days before the end of each month instead of just on the last day of the month. The reason is simply to give the month's judge a few days to study each poem without having to worry about some last minute poem popping up. For this reason it is much better to not do editing after the deadline. now anybody who has been here for very long knows I edit all my stuff over and over ad nauseum lol. Hence I encourage you to edit your own contest poems but please refrain from editing during the time before deadline date and the time the winner is announced just to make the judge's job a bit easier. I hope this clarifies any questions about the subject of edits during the judging period.................stan
