September contest winner

I has been brought to my attention that my blog announcing the Sept. contest winner disappeared on its way to being posted. (likely gremlins) So here it is . The poem is Gregwa8's concise work " Silent Lovers" Please join me in congratulating him...........stan :

Silent Lovers
Submitted by gregwa8

I lost you
because my voice
was
silent,

And now that I
have found
my voice
again,

you’re not around
to hear me
sing
and sing
and sing and sing.

Oh what a
tragic,
what a tragic,
common thing.

Was this contest poem updated / edited after the last date of contest? If so, is that ok?

It may well have been but I think it was actually judged before the updates occurred. I reckon once the judging is done the author is free to edit all they want. After all it's Their poem and this Is a workshop site.
Now , as to editing before judging , this is acceptable since there is always a 3-4 day period between when contest is closed to new entries and the final judging occurs. Indeed this 3-4 day period is specifically in place to prevent judge from having to worry about last minute entries or edits. Hope this addresses your concerns but if you have further questions feel free to ask, that's what I'm here for........stan

Honestly it doesn't...because the result was declared after the poem was edited after the closing date.......anyways no issues...will give benefit of doubt to the judge...nothing to take the gloss off the winning poem...
