Testimonials

Hello everyone! I am working on a new idea for Neopoet's social media presence. It was suggested to me that I include some testimonials about what Neopoet means to its members. If you would like to say a few words on how Neopoet has impacted you and what Neopoet means to you, feel free to either message me or comment below. Please note that these testimonials are intended for public use, so if you would like your testimonial to be anonymous, just let me know.

Thanks much,
Madison

Pertinent peer podium for poets, philosophers and pundits to post their creative content for collaborative comments and critiques engendering evolving and enhanced emanations.

Madison is asking for genuine testimonials about how Neopoet has helped you or what it means to you.

I've sent mine and it included the fact that as an isolated, disenfranchised poet, it literally saved my life.

I first came here as a "poet" who had written a grand total of 3 poems. I had no idea if they were any good or if they stank. I was welcomed and received almost immediate positive comments. If my first posted poem had been ignored or perhaps been rudely critiqued I might have well given up on writing poetry.
Now, almost 900 poems later I look back on where I was as a writer then and where I am now and the difference is stark. And I owe most of my improvement to this site where Truth abounds in critique as opposed to false flattery which prevails on so many others sites. This Honest feed back and the workshops are invaluable in improving skills.
During the past 9 years I have gone through good and bad times. But during these times one of the things that has been constant is Neopoet where I can retreat if need be or share the good times when applicable. This is Indeed a family of poets. Thank you Paul and Andrew.........stan

Thanks Jess, Stan, and OriginalRhyku for your contributions!

Try Neopoetry:

At first I had posted Rhykus
That I thought were terrific
Essentially rhyming Haikus
Some felt Rhykus were pedantic

I ventured from my comfort zone
Free form sometimes had deviltry
Quattrains the ones i wanted to hone
In the sea of Neopoetry

Being averse to the profane
I kept on writing my Quattrain
Relevance was my sole refrain
Resonance my poetic gain

From the feedback peers do offer
Has been very encouraging
Inspiring me as I proffer
Poems I hope are engaging

Rhiannon1010, please see if one of my latest entries New Moral Order meets your requirements to be posted on other social media sites. I appreciate your efforts to showcase Neopoetry to a wider audience. Thanks.

Thank you so much for your testimonial and your poem! Both are wonderful and I will be more than happy to showcase them.

Appreciate your appreciation and please send me the links to the social media site when your selected and selective poems / testimonials are showcased.

I believe a testimonial should be honest / sincere and short considering where you want to post it. I liked this idea and shall soon post mine here.

To me being on Neopoet gives a sense of being part of a community where new members are warmly welcomed and encouraged to post their craft. Others then step in to offer positive or negative critique as expected of a poetry workshop site in a bid to help the poet to continually improvise their work. This process is symbiotic and helps members to improve their knowledge about various poetry forms and sharpen their skills by reading poems submitted by fellow members. Ongoing workshops on various aspects of poetry and contests are a distinc value addition.

I have been part f this community for over seven years and didn't realize how or when I got addicted to this - an addiction I am not likely to give up....raj p

Looks like my testimonial wasn't found worthy of responding to may be it has something to do which I am now increasingly becoming aware of...no issues...you asked and being a well wisher of Neopoet I took time to draft it...

Raj, my friend, when we post a poem time stops till we get a reply. From my first post here till today, over eleven years, feels like 15 minutes recess at Primary School. I've suffered aeons of agony awaiting responses to critiques given and not noticed when a month had passed without posting a poem.

Wait a little longer than a day before starting to feel your testimonial was found unworthy. They don't get posted all at once either, some are saved for later. You are much appreciated.

Jess

Thanks Jess for your response even though you have not been the one who invited testimonials. I said what i said only after noting that one of the testimonials by another member was responded to after I posted mine...

and you basically told me to mind my own business.
That was a bit petulant.
