I small
in front of a Lion
you have the genes
of never ending ones
if you are a VIRGO
of course
intelligence alone is your go
we all are off

so sweet of you Remark....
Mark,
meet us here
so that we can recognise you
as Ian says
there
we shall continue
the taps/tags
in the dance
till we are aware
and
to Earth never return
some say
we may

I have not read any Hemingway
My main reading has been of the earlier classics. I love Jane Austen, for instance and I'm actually quite a bit older than when I was forced to retire on health grounds.
No man is an island, by John Donne, 17th century writer and poet.
No man is an island,
Entire of itself.
Each is a piece of the continent,
A part of the main.
If a clod be washed away by the sea,
Europe is the less.
As well as if a promontory were.
As well as if a manor of thine own
Or of thine friend's were.
Each man's death diminishes me,
For I am involved in mankind.
Therefore, send not to know
For whom the bell tolls,
It tolls for thee.
