THE WRATHFUL SEA

Her salted bludgeoning maw
swallowed vessels and galleys
with its green saline gullet of
ulcers
barnacles, and a throat full of oily
spots of acne sticky limpets

Treasures guarded by a circle
of sharks in an ocean restaurant
pinching crabs,
and swaying seaweed keeping naval
secrets.

A wave of wrathfulness, tossing
clubbing, floating ships, drowning
them into the abyss.
stripping seamen Into
skeletons with silent screams.

Supported by a howling killer
of a storm . Ripping, blowing holes
into arthritis wooden decks into oblivion
into the coldest dark depths.

Grandiose Majestic Mountain

There stood a majestic
Craggy face with razor blade
Edges of a monstrous
time honoured mountain

Turning its rocky nose up
at anything below him, robust
Jagged and risky, high stabbing
armour with White shark tip
Cut throated fins.

Bald rugged with a silent manner
cold stone as white as marshmallow
steep and strong, bold and old
broad frosted shoulders

With powdered freckles and a storm grey
complexion it wore a white necklace
and a frosted crown, made
by heaven.

AUTUMN'S CUSP

Mid October a cool day
with a northern cooling breeze.
All hints of summer gone away.
The few green leaves are just a tease.

Tomorrow will bring the first frost
so this day finds me 'neath the trees
absorbing warmth before its lost
and limbering up titanium knees.

For I'm not what I once was.
Time has seen that I am not,
So I sit on a stump to take a pause
and breathe autumn's scent which I'd forgot.

Then turn my face up to the sky
as cool front winds begin to blow.
I watch the clouds as they race by.
They leave like friends I used to know.

My eyes water from sun's glare
so I drop my head down to my chest
letting my chin settle there
while I count the ways that I am blessed.

I'm blessed with our cabin in the trees
I'm blessed with seeing one more fall.
I'm blessed with grandchildren to tease.
I'm blessed with being here at all.

I watch a squirrel climb to its nest
for now the sun is getting low
so ere' it reaches ridge's crest
I arise then turn and go.

 Cage of cards

 Chaotically clustered
cage of
cards covering
all
cynically silent
sides of life
plainly plastered
before my
persistently passing
presence of
the present day.
Thoughtlessly thrashing
out the leisurely
overlapping lanes
of possibilities
prancing through
the pressuring palms
of probability.
With a single stern stomp
taking back the cross
mask of control.
There steadily
stumbled down
the obliquely built
walls of ambiguity
freely falling at
my frivolously
fleeting feet.
Vigorously revealing
the vaguely vapid
valley of victorious
vultures who
persistently preys
upon the weak
minded ones
who decisively numb
themselves within naivety .
But still
I walk forth
ahead through
the foreboding facade
of fear
lying before me.

Echoes

Once there was a man
Who wrote beautiful music
He wrote the music because he was sad
He was sad because he was all alone

But he was noticed for his music
He ended up being loved for it
And in being loved
He lost his sadness
And his music soon after

This is the stream - you can see all poems on Neopoet, live, as they are created.

my your beautiful face

your beautiful face
makes me tremble,

my heart beat can’t keep pace,
as i look at your charming face.

wow you are so young
you are so cool
at nineteen,
you’re the cynosure of many an eye,
so many will love for you to vie

you are astounding you know
meet me only just once
ere from the earth I go.

I love your beautiful smile
Oh! magnificent face
come and meet me
will you at my place?

you are exquisite you know
I can see your charm as you glow.

Magic of Us

Let that Blackstreet ride from track five,
Do not play anything but Another Level;
Let me run the shower water to revive,
Undress you slowly with kisses so careful.

Sweetheart, let us make tonight magical...

I would like to turn off all the lights now
And this passionate walk with blind faith;
Kisses over you, unbutton your blouse,
Remove your bottom, embrace your waist.

Sweetheart, let us make tonight magical...

I feel it in you,
You feel it in me;
The magic of us
Feels so sweet.

A better place to be

Today I enjoyed my mind,
it might not seem a big ask,
I’ve been doing it most of my life,
Often wondering
if it was as much fun in other people’s heads
as it was in mine.
A dangerous neighbourhood at night,
but which of the best places aren’t?

Today I enjoyed my mind,
it hasn’t happened much lately
but today is today

STUPID MAYANS

Come on in you're running late
guess no one can stop time
I see you brought an end time date
have a drink, it's on my dime

I reckon you know all the others
no need to introduce
friends, cousins, sisters, brothers
that vodka needs a little juice

Times Square's on the big T.V.
the ball's about to drop
were Mayans wrong? about to see
is world and time about to stop?

OF THE LOST WORD

Silent wind carried away the lost word
Not written ever since it was uttered
Ricochet reflected in conception

The word took form in myriad realities
Expressing an endless order within
Of an unending cycles of reunion

This obscure word, not heard by man ever
Remains a puzzle in a ceaseless search
Set to undo that which had been designed

Forget-us-not

Oh, your love has untethered, unbound me
Heart beats an intimate dance, called romance
Your gnawing need for me, and mine for thee
consumes, alternate reality, a trance
I'm floating on cloud nine, sweet ecstasy
Ah, can this last eternally? perchance
Reflected gaze I feel like a beauty
My feelings broad as the oceans expanse
Your my soulmate, my best friend, my happy
No formula, not an exact science
except one on one, may add upto three
I appreciate our dalliance
Flirting is the fuel that keeps love red hot

MAY-DECEMBER: re-written

MAY and DECEMBER

I waited for your call.
It never came,
It was 2:00 A.M.
No doorbell rang.
My heart began to sink again.
Every time you walked through the door
and I saw you standing there
I thought my soul would never bear
the ecstasy
When you ran your fingers through my hair
the softness of your touch spoke fire
and your caresses whispered love.
but nothing lasts forever,

you are May
I am December.

life

jewelled studs
stretched to forever
in an endlessly encompassing
quiescent deep

a panorama
aglow

an intangible taste
of a vast breadth
with future in potential
that shimmers just out of reach
.

Three Winter poems

20th December 2012.

THIS MORNING

Hills delicately touched
with seeping light of morning
dawning in the east,
they lie like icing on the cake of day,
the heavens tinted pink and grey,
pale blue a back-cloth
peeping through the haze,
the temperature ten degrees of frost,
a buzz of traffic dully reaches us
through silent roofs and trees,
the trees,
like statues of themselves,
there is no breeze.

DAWN

mayan gregory

there is a mismatch between the Mayan
and
the Gregorian
current calendars…

earlier on, life was lunatic
lunar based
now it’s pragmatic
that is scientific
Equator oriented

hence you all are welcome
for breakfast at Tiffany’s
at 8.30 am sharp
22nd December
