The Osprey

The piercing scream of the osprey
Resounds in the midday summer air
Expansive wingspan silhouetted
Against the waning crescent moon
Lending it’s upside down Cheshire grin
To the matrix of cumulonimbus clouds
Speeding across a sky of blue mist haze
Laden with the damp steamy quilt of late July

I used to do a little composing when taking my lunch or coffee break. I had quite a few that were lost in "The Crash". Because I wasn't contientious about back-ups. I like the picture you paint here. Yes... Like a painting, that's what it is, like a painting. ~ Geez.

This must be the place, 'cause there ain't no place like this place anywhere near this place.

I would love to feel as free as the great hawk you describe. To glide on the wind currents... I dream of flying in my body, they are my favorite drams. and when I touch back down, I know that I have been out of my body. sometimes meditation gets me close... I hope you have flown, too!

Aside from flying by the seat of my pants, I have experienced a weightless feeling. A handful of times while performing music for an attentive audience when all four members were all plugged into the same thing…all the hair on your body stands straight up…there’s no pain, fear…it’s just bliss in its purest form. I have also felt this way as an audience member at concerts occasionally. It’s not flight it’s temporary transcendental transportation to the Brahma. I’m not Hindu but that’s the best word I know for it.

With a Wonderland feel! Like Cat, music does so much for me. It is the only relationship that has stayed through the good, bad and very ugly!
