Bring all your frustrations of the Holidays to the party, bring your dittys, poems and stories! See ya there! ~ Gee

Notice how the 'undicvovered work' list

is mostly pretty crap poetry. Not crap poets, but their worst works.

This bears thinking about.

I go through the list often, and I find it hard to say something nice to say.

Don't be hard on yurself, we all write wrotten poems sometimes.

I wish to take this opportunity to thank the poets who posted or commented in The Mindful Memorable Freeform Workshop. I wish to thank Jess (wierdelf) who co-lead with me and moderated the workshop for his valuable help. I was very pleased with the level and amount of work submitted and the open and in-depth forum for communications about submitted poetry. The members on the roster were:

The Chat Room design is great. I spent some time there playing around. It's very user friendly for even me the one whose stay lost.. Lol. Looking forward to seeing members in chat on Neopoet Live.

Arguing About Language

The Stone

The Stone is a forum for contemporary philosophers on issues both timely and timeless.

Today I’m going to hopefully beg a question which will incentivize the reader to share their views. Yes, I’m writing about English grammar and usage.

"If a tree falls in a forest and no one is around to hear it, does it make a sound?"
Of course it does, but why would anyone care?

Critique is failing again.

Grow a vagina, they are much tougher than balls. Neopoet goes through periods of wimpy mutual masturbartorium and periods of great critique, we are going through a bad one now.

This is NOT a social site, nor a place to express our personal puerile self expression, it is a workshop

Rhythmic… monotonous.
Musical… tedious.
Lyrical… repetitious.
The concept colloquially referred to as “Sing-Song” is a very different thing to different people. Not poets only, for in other spheres of modern culture “Sing-Song” is both blessing and bane. Speak to a pre-school teacher and if there is an opinion at all, it is concerned with the absolute necessity of consistent rhythm while teaching young minds. However, ask the orator or speech coach and those opinions are likely to be notorious if not outright obscene.
